This hula is a beginners hula. Written by Laida Paia/John K. Almeida it compares the pua loke lau (green rose) to a sweetheart.

Style: ‘Auana
A mele written for the Charles Pokipala home. He was a member of the Royal Hawaiian Band and sometimes the band members gathered there to practice. This mele was composed by Mekia Kealakaʻi, the bandmaser, to pay tribute to that special home and family.
Mele: Roselani Blossom
Style: ‘Auana
One of the many beautiful songs inspired by John K. Almedia; the mele speaks of one of the many beautiful leis given to one of the many beautiful women in the composer's life.
