Description: "Poetry, Place and Pauoa Hula": Kaiponohea Hale, resident of Pauoa, Oʻahu will offer an overview of Hawaiian poetry and songwriting, elements of a Sense of Place, specifically the upper region of Pauoa Valley, and introduce one of his compositions, "Pauoa Hula" through visual imagery, poetry, and singing. 

Bio:
Kaiponohea Hale is a long time resident and native of Pauoa, Oʻahu. He retired, as an educator and administrator, from Kamehameha Schools in 2019 after 40 years of service. He is a singer, musician, songwriter and a strong supporter of ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi through various venues. Many of his compositions have been recorded by Hoʻokena, the Bros. Cazimero, Karen Keawehawaiʻi, and Ikaika Blackburn.
